The Director of the Oberhausen Short Film Festival Lars Henrik Gass who came to Mersin for the jury membership of the 5th Atıf Yılmaz Short Film Festival visited the Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Burhanettin Kocamaz.
The Director of the Oberhausen Short Film Festival Lars Henrik Gass who is also the jury member of the 5th Atıf Yılmaz Short Film Festival organized by Forum Mersin visited the Mayor of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Burhanettin Kocamaz in Mersin he visited for the assessment process.
Kocamaz expressed his appreciation with the joint work between Oberhausen, the sister city of Mersin and Atıf Yılmaz Short Film Festival organized in the memory of Atıf Yılmaz, a director from Mersin.
Kocamaz stated that, “I would like to congratulate Forum Mersin, Mersin University and Daraba Film Medya Event Tasarım for organizing the first festival held this year for the 5th times in the city. It is an honor to organize such a festival held in the memory of the master director Atıf Yılmaz from Mersin this year with the contributions of Oberhausen Film Festival, which is one of the long-established film festivals of the world. At the same time, we would like to develop our relationships with our sister city Oberhausen in other areas as well as cultural arena, primarily.”
Stating that he would pay a number of visits to the sister city Oberhausen in the upcoming days, Kocaman said they would like to improve the strong bonds between two cities in the next years.
