The winner of Atıf Yılmaz Short Film Competition was Rezan Yeşilbaş with film named ‘Sessiz’ in Cannes Film Festival.
Big award ceremony of the competition, which was organized by Forum Mersin and in which 142 film makers attended with 158 films, was held with presentation of Nefise Karatay on May 26th, on Saturday in Forum Mersin Atıf Yılmaz Square. City protocol, competition jury and invitees rushed into Short Film Competition that was organized for the first time by Forum Mersin that makes its mark frequently thanks to support it gives for art in the memory of master director Atıf Yılmaz who was born in Mersin.
Competitors who deserved right to receive prize in the premiere night in which emotional moments were experienced were given prizes

The award ceremony of Atıf Yılmaz Short Film competition that was organized witj presentation of Nefise Karatay in Forum Mersin started with a short introduction film consisting of scenes taken from works of the master director.
Rezan Yeşilbaş, producer of the film named ‘Sessiz’, competing in category of ‘Short film’ in 65th Cannes Film Festival gained first prize of 6 thousand TL in films ranking with selection of jury consisting of Actress Deniz Türkali, Radikal Newspaper author Erkan Aktuğ, Producer-Director Ezel Akay, Producer-Director Leyla Özalp who had worked with Atıf Yılmaz for long years, and Mersin University Communication Faculty Academic Prof. Dr. Senem Duruel Erkılıç
